Stage 1: Foundational Awareness (Ages 3–4)

Themes from Book 1: Introduction & Daily Life

  • Focus Areas:
    • Understanding “Who is Allah?” and feeling His mercy and presence
    • Learning Islamic greetings (Assalamu Alaikum) and expressions (Alhamdulillah, Bismillah)
    • Exploring simple acts of worship (salah movements, du’as, wudu basics)
    • Introducing Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a kind and trusted messenger
  • Activities:
    • Role-play greeting rituals
    • Songs about Allah’s creation and love
    • Circle time stories from seerah and daily Islamic routines
    • Nature walks with reflections on Allah’s signs

Stage 2: Practicing Pillars & Personal Ethics (Ages 5–6)

Themes from Book 1 & early Book 2

  • Focus Areas:
    • Deeper understanding of the 5 Pillars (with age-appropriate expectations)
    • Practicing basic etiquette (kindness, sharing, respect for elders)
    • Introducing Qur’an reverence: what it is, how to handle it, short surah meanings
    • Learning about simple historical events: the Ka’bah, Prophets and their miracles
  • Activities:
    • Montessori stations for salah steps, wudu sequence, and sadaqah jars
    • Qur’an listening corner with picture-word pairing
    • Character building charts: “Following Prophet Muhammad’s sunnah”
    • Class du’a booklets

Stage 3: Spiritual Practice & Social Awareness (Ages 7–9)

  • Themes from Book 2 & beyond

    • Focus Areas:
      • Deeper understanding of Islamic months, Eid, fasting, and zakah
      • Moral lessons from Prophets (truthfulness, patience, bravery)
      • Applying sunnah in daily choices (cleanliness, greetings, modesty)
      • Introducing community responsibility and empathy (ummah concept)
    • Activities:
      • Qur’an journaling: short ayah + personal meaning
      • Mini research projects: “My role model from the Prophets”
      • Islamic calendar exploration: planning Ramadan, Hajj timeline
      • Service learning: helping at home, caring for animals, school-wide campaigns
